Auto spare parts business can be a great way of getting off the labor market, making so much money and be happy for the rest of your life. You stand a chance of making it big in this line of trade. The need for auto parts is constantly growing, especially in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt and other major cities in Nigeria.

As long as car enthusiasts love to maintain their cars, this business will always be in vogue. I will be sharing with you practical ways on how to go about establishing your auto part business in Nigeria.

1. Develop Your Business Plan

A business plan is necessary to earn yourself success in this business. Your business plan must involve your needed capital and possible return on investment. It should show your marketing process and your legal structure.

2. Find A Suitable Location

If you are in Lagos, Auto parts market at Trade Fair might be a better location. You can as well locate your business in the heart of the city, where there are more vehicles and traffic. Invest in your business place. Give it a great uplift. Do business differently. Put up a nice sign over your location.

3. Get All Necessary Permits

In some states in Nigeria, you might be required to get a permit, either from the state or your local government. You should also belong to associations of auto-parts sellers, if there are any around your location. Protect your business from unnecessary penalties.

4. Seek A Good Supplier

Visit importers at Auto-parts in Lagos. Compare prices and quality of products. Develop a good relationship with a viable supplier. After some visit to the market, you can ask your supplier to waybill your next purchases.

5. Connect With Customers

Reach out to all vehicle owners you know in your neighborhood. Friends and families are also worthy prospects in the beginning. Advertise, go on the radio, if possible, on local newspapers. Tell everyone who cares to listen. Print flyers that contain your business name, phone number, email and other contact details.
