To add to what you guys have said, you need to target the right customers with your advertisement. It is not just enough to advertise, you must target the right audience and demographic.

If you are advertising on Facebook, make sure your target audience are females, especially young girls and married women in their late thirties. These ones are more likely to appreciate and patronize your products. Learn how to use Facebook ad targeting system. See also how to advertise on Facebook.

If you are advertising on eCommerce sites like Jiji and Olx, learn how to use tags and make sure you list your products in the right category. People usually search products using category and tags, so it won’t make sense if you drop your weavon product under Cars category.

@Apeiron has giving you all the tips you need and as @Chinwe said, business sometimes take time to pick up. While doing your marketing, you need to show some patient and give your Wig business enough time to pick up.

Thank you Apeiron for that detailed answer. I am surprised why juice manufacturers in Nigeria are unable to establish big pineapple farms for raw material. Instead, they prefer mixing different dangerous chemicals that taste and look like pineapple juice and call it flavor.

Do anyone know of any big pineapple farm around? I would like to visit the farm and see how things is done there

I attempted it in 2015 but the developers I hired where unable to do something up to the standard I was looking for. So, I pulled out. Now the success of Jiji is trying to motivate me into going back to the project once again.

The pure eCommerce such as Jumia and Konga type is completely a no go area for me. It’s a multi billion dollars investment and I hate the idea of keeping inventory and supplying to customers. Classified website like vConnect or Marketplace similar to JIJI and OLX will be a great fit for WealthResult.com.

But we want to concentrate on this site first and give it the push it has been yearning for. As time goes on, we may try to build other platforms that are related to this business site. I am considering Marketplace where people can buy and sell and a Freelance platform where people can hire and fire. By this time next year we should be seriously into that.

Why these ideas may work for us is because we already have a successful platform that can give the new ones serious push. That’s exactly what’s working for Naij. Therefore, we want to dedicate one more year working to bring this site up then we’ll come for the other ideas.

  • Thank you for the beautiful answer, and I think your answer has added credence to the assumption that Tinubu may just be a huge stakeholder in Shoprite Nigeria. Let’s look at it this way

Their entrance into the Nigeria market start in Lagos and not in Abuja or Port Harcourt. We know that Lagos is the center of commerce in Nigeria though but Abuja would have been another choice for their second shop in Nigeria. Instead, they started first and second shops in Lagos.

The construction of Lekki Palm Malls and setting up of the first Shoprite in Lagos (Nigeria) happened simultaneously.  Could that be a coincidence? I don’t think so. The same with Ikeja City Malls. In fact, Shoprite’s locations in the malls was very strategic to just have happened by chance.

The whole thing happened at the time Tinubu was strategically investing and controlling Lagos State. So, I think it will be safe to assume Shoprite Nigeria is jointly owned by Tinubu?

How else do I contact you other than this question I asked? I am sure many people would like to find answer to this my question so

I am already contacting you. Pls tell us – Does Bitcoin mining still exist? How do one lay his hands on Bitcoin without having to cough out almost $5,000 per coin that Bitcoin is currently exchanging for?

There are many hair extension manufacturers and importers in the country. Go to any hair dressing salon, pick some of the best brand you’d like to be selling, check the label to see who is the maker. Contact those makers or importers and strike a deal. Or go to the open market like Idumota and buy.

    About the startup cost

If you plan to start a hair extensions business, it is good to estimate how much money you need. This will help you to decide to keep (or take) a part time job, or to find a bank to borrow some funds. This post will help you to estimating start-up costs for your hair extensions business.

Every business has its own specific cash needs at different stages of development. So, there is no universal method for estimating the start-up costs for your hair business. Some stores start on a small budget. While others may need considerable investments in inventory or equipment.

The first step to estimate the money you need is to have a clear idea about the kind of hair extension business you want. An automated hair store, 100% online. A combination of an off-line store annex salon and an online store? Or a salon with staff or without. There are many possibilities and different number of possible startup costs.

How to get Money to Start Your Hair Business

The money you need, to start a hair business, is not only for the inventory, stationary and marketing expenses. You also need to take into account the costs of doing business for the first months. Some of these expenses will be one-time costs such as the fee for incorporating your business or the price of a sign for your building. Some will be ongoing costs, such as the cost of utilities, inventory, insurance, etc.

It’s smart to calculate on the conservative side, add some extra’ s for unforeseen. Surprises always pop up, for sure on the expense side of your business.

There are 2 separate categories: fixed and variable expenses. Fixed expenses include rent, utilities, administrative costs and insurance costs.
    Variable expenses include:

    inventory,
    shipping and packaging costs,
    sales commissions, and
other costs associated with the direct sale of the hair.
    The best way to calculate

The best way to calculate your start-up costs is to use a worksheet.

The all-in-one hair extensions business package includes the excel sheet to calculate your hair extensions business start-up expenses, and sales forecast. Plus much more to start a hair extensions business.

The above explanation is from how to sell hair extension.  Follow the guide and decide what is best for you

There is article on this website that talks about yam export to oversea, find it here. You will gain some understanding about the business in the article.

Nigeria kicked off yam exportation to Europe and America last June. The minister of Agriculture said in order to address the wastage, his ministry is working on using solar coolers to keep the yams at 14 degrees to make it suitable for export.

The Nigeria Centre for Agricultural Mechanization in Ilorin is also producing a mechanized yam farming and ground preparation machines that will be attached to a tractor to ease production.

Mr Audu Ogbeh said it was because of poor storage that made some countries to reject Nigerian yam when efforts to export it was carried out in the past. For your yam to be accepted in the international market, it has to meet the international standards.

Palm oil can be stored for up to 12 months without much spoilage. However, it will be better to sell off within 6months to preserve its freshness.

Palm Oil does not go rancid very fast. This is because Palm Oil and Coconut oil is mostly saturated oil. Palm Oil has a long shelf life and can be stored at room temperature. The preferred temperature for palm oil is 30 degree Celsius. Like I said, it will be better if you sell your palm oil within 6 months of purchase.

In case you sense an unpleasant aroma, a rancid taste or a change in color, it means it’s no longer useful or safe to use, throw away the palm oil immediately as that may be harmful. Palm Oil can thicken if stored at lower temperature. Try and avoid this. Use stainless steel or glass containers to store palm oil. Plastic container is most used in this part of the world to store palm oil. Avoid containers that might have any element of copper alloy in them. It is always better to store them in the original containers.

The market for it depend on where you are and the quantity you have. If you have the product in large quantity, selling at wholesale to retailers in Mile 12 market may the ideal thing. So, buy and supply to market women who retail at various shops and market.

Yes, tomatoes and pepper can be cultivated in many parts of Rivers State and they will do well. Tomato and pepper are highly adaptable and easy to grow. They can thrive in a wide range of climates and conditions, including Sunset’s Climate Zones 1 through 24. Of course, like any garden vegetable, tomatoes and pepper need the right type of soil to produce the best crop.

Loamy and sandy loam soils are best for tomato production, but these plants will grow in almost all soil types except heavy clay. If you your soil has lots of clay, you can improve the texture by tilling the soil and incorporating sand, sawdust, peat moss or other amendments before planting. The soil should be fairly loose and well-drained. Tomatoes don’t do well in dry soil, but avoid planting them in excessively wet, waterlogged soil, or anywhere standing water gathers after a rain.

To be 100% sure of the soil you want to use for your tomato and pepper farming in Rivers State, you may need to carry out soil test. Soil’s acidity or alkalinity is measured by its pH. A pH of 7 is considered neutral, while anything lower is acidic and anything higher is alkaline. Tomatoes grow best in neutral or near-neutral soil.

Soil Preparation for Tomato and Pepper Farming in River State

Peppers and chiles are heavy feeders and do best with a deep root zone—18-24” (45-60 cm)—in soil with ample organic matter, adequate phosphorous, and a good supply of calcium.

Incorporate 2-3” (5-8 cm) of good garden compost or composted manure into the soil before planting.

Till or cultivate soil amendments into the soil, don’t just spread them over the surface. Organic soil amendments need microbial action to release most of their nutrients, so don’t just layer them over the surface. Mix them into the soil so they’re in contact with microbes for best results.

Never step directly onto a raised garden bed made for tomato or pepper. Walking on soil compacts it, reducing its ability to hold air and water and making it harder for roots to penetrate. Stand on a board so your weight is distributed over a larger area, and use a hoe or grape mattock to mix the layers of soil, compost, and soil amendments.

Are you a honey farmer? Where is your farm located? If you have honey that meet international standard, approach the Nigerian export promotion council. They will be in the best position to tell you how to go about it.

Do not approach them if you are not yet a honey farmer because you will look very stupid.
