can i start up a poultry business with a sum of 150,000 naira ?
I want to start up a poultry farm with 2000 birds. I already have a plot of land which I believe will be enough.
It is impossible to start a poultry business with N150,000 having 2000 birds in mind, even though you already have a plot of land. A day old chick alone cost between N250 to N350, and you say you are getting up to 2000 birds multiply with N250 that alone will cost N400,000. Not to talk about the cost of the feeders, drinkers, perches. nests, crates, lighting system, waste disposal system, incubator, heaters or brooders, egg tray, cages and coops.
