How Much Capital Is Required For Small Scale Poultry Farming?

I want to go into poultry farming starting with about 1000 birds of layers.

What should be my starting capital. If I want to start with a plot of land and to construct a standard poultry farm house. How much should I be looking at. Thank you.

    Hello,

    I am a poultry Farmer and Consultant. A lot of things happened in the poultry industry within the past one or two years especially last year. Price instability etc.  So you may not get a specific figure unless a feasibility report is carried out. Even if you don’t want to do a comprehensive report some work should be done on just the cost aspect.  Do you have land or you want to buy or rent?  Your location; state and nearness to where you live.
