If you are using a online coaching as a means of monetizing your platform, it is about time you get to know one way you can continue to make money after the initial training may have been over. I want to talk about post training monetization techniques.

There are different ways you can monetize your content but I want us to look at morphing your tool of monetization with specific reference to online coaching. Morphing in this context is about changing one means of monetizing a content into another way of monetizing the same content. That is, the primary means of monetizing that content was used at the initial stage, but you now want to repackage it and re-monetize it using another means.

We are going to emphasize on online coaching but monetization morphing can be applied with almost any form of monetization that is already in existence and indeed that is yet to be created.

Starting From A Clean Slate

We would need to spell this out carefully. This is just too important for you to get wrong. Let us start from the beginning.

You Set Up Your Online Coaching Course

You have planned and built the content. you have established the format and the payment system. You know what you are going to do. The coaching program was a success. Many people signed up and everybody is happy as you have provided great content and you are smiling to the bank. It is about time you start grinning to your bank

The Nature Of The Training Program

How you go about post-training monetization will depend on the format you used for the training itself. There are some formats that might not need post training monetization techniques simply because they are in a perpetual state of monetization. Perpetual monetization describes a system that you set up once but makes you money many times. That is, it continues to make you money as long as the system is in place even when you have piped down on the marketing. For instance, an online training program that will have people log in to an exclusive section of your platform to access the training content and the system is always online and running.

That is, as long as people sign up you will be making money. The key to perpetual monetization is evergreen content. We are talking of a material that remains relevant. The only other input to perpetual monetization is that you might need to occasionally add new promos to it, giving it the freshness that is in line with the content.

However, there are some training programs that may be time specific even when the content is still relevant. This may be due to the system of delivery you deployed. For instance, there are paid webinars that are time specific. The content may still remain relevant but the webinar has come and gone and if you are using platforms that provide such services, you will know the importance of hitting it big the first time. However, your content may not be accessible anymore to the public. This could be a good candidate for re-monetization.

Break It Down To Bits And Pieces, Then Sell In Other Forms

You can morph the content into another medium or channel of delivery. Your webinar can become a downloadable video. It could also become an audio book or written eBook. It is the same content but you have morphed it to have another structure with the sole aim of re-monetizing it in this new structure.

What About The Old Users?

What about them? You have delivered on what you promised them and now you are morphing the content into another shape, something you did not promise to deliver to them. That being said, it may be a sound move to make to give a set period between the time the initial monetization ended and the new one starts.

Another way you can tap into the old users is to give them an opportunity to get the morphed content in its new package. A marketing strategy to adopt is to provide it for minimal amount by giving them access to a promo code and telling them it is a way of appreciating their patronage.

Provide It As Free Material To Make People Buy Into Other Trainings

Another way  re-monetization is used is as complementary products for new items. It is still a form of monetization because you are using it to generate income. Providing it for free, especially when it is relevant can compel people to buy into the new product just because of the value they placed on the old. This means you can place a premium price on the new, which would boost its image value because people will associate the new with the old, which they know is still a best seller of sorts.

Another thing about this strategy is that you can still make people pay for the old, if it is still relevance in a manner that they would be left to think you are giving it away. For instance, you can decide to sell it at 10 to 20 percent of the original price if people buy it with the new.

There are so many ways you can morph your content for re-monetization. You may need to think out of the box and leave out the overused and worn out methods but in the end, you would have achieved the purpose of post-training re-monetization.

You may have some thoughts on this. I will like to hear your take on morphing your content for re-monetization.
